Best Bakeries in San Francisco: Caffe Central
During an October visit to San Francisco, I visited a friend in the small town of Burlingame. We walked through downtown Burlingame and enjoyed dinner at Rasa, a Michelin-starred restaurant. I absolutely loved our meal, the décor inside the business, and Rasa’s friendly and accommodating staff. I look forward to visiting this restaurant the next time I’m in the area.
In addition to Rasa, there was so much to love about Burlingame. From Joe & The Juice to Caffe Central, this small town felt like it was custom-made for me.
Here’s Why I Was Blown Away
After a wonderful meal, my friend and I walked through downtown Burlingame in search of bakeries or juicers. I know cold-pressed juice and baked goods don’t actually make the best pairing, but lately I’ve been obsessed about both. We therefore stopped in Joe & The Juice so I could get a ginger shot and a bottle of carrot juice to fuel my week.
After I enjoyed the ginger shot, we rushed across the street to Caffe Central in search of baked goods to cleanse my palate. While not exactly a bakery, the exterior of the establishment was appealing and nothing was going to keep me from checking it out.
What’s Special About Caffe Central?
Boasting plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, Caffe Central was buzzing with people and peaceful vibes. To add icing on the cake, the first thing I noticed upon entering the café, was a display case filled with perfectly designed pastries. As I stood in awe, I tried to immerse myself in all the café had to offer. There was a wide assortment of beverages which was slightly overwhelming for someone who drinks solely Black iced tea. Within a couple seconds, it was clear to me that whether patrons preferred coffee, chai or infused tea, Caffe Central has you covered.
For Coffee Lovers & Others
As I stood in line deciding what to purchase, I was pleased to see iced sugar cookies. While I enjoy looking at neatly manicured desserts, I prefer simple treats. I love iced sugar cookies, cupcakes and cake. While the café offered a host of sweet delights options, I purchased sugar cookies and was pleased that they tasted as wonderful as their packaging suggested.
The other wonderful thing about Caffe Central is that they offer breakfast, lunch dinner and brunch during the weekends. They accommodate a host of needs in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. What more can a person want?
