This is a place you’ll want to visit again and again.

Littleton’s Market, a gourmet grocery store, opened in December 2023 in Upper Arlington, Ohio. It boasts a spacious, expertly-designed physical space. With plenty of room for in-store dining or coffee with a friend, this is a place you’ll want to visit again and again. I particularly appreciate their fresh-goods and an open, easy to navigate layout.
But because I favor baked goods, I had to check out their display case filled with all things yum. I tried – not in one setting, I might add – a brownie blondie brook bar as well as a slice of chocolate ganache cake. I couldn’t tell if the cake would be too rich for my palate, but one bite had me craving for more. It was phenomenal. The brownie blondie was also flavor-filled and appetizing.
Expansion on the Horizon
Littleton’s also sells iced butter cookies, which are a favorite in my household. As special as this place is, it’s about to get bigger. Littleton’s and North Market Downtown announced that Littleton’s will open Littleton’s Market Bakery this summer. It will be in the space which formerly housed Omega Artisan Baking. Led by chef Aaron Clouse, the new location will include a production facility, retail baking and a café. Exciting indeed.
What Makes This Place Unique?
While Littleton’s baked goods are a must-have, many of this market’s offerings are equally appeasing. The store gives me the feeling of grocery store industry leader, Wegmans. Wegmans is headquartered in Rochester, New York and has locations along the east coast. Visiting Wegmans is an experience unto itself and that’s how I feel about Littleton’s.
During an afternoon visit in May 2024, I decided to try some of their cooked food products. Picking up pre-cooked and nutritious food makes meal-planning so much easier. I purchased a half pound of roasted carrots, beets and goat cheese, and chicken salad. Our household loved all of it. I can’t say that I expected anything different but it was nice to be blown away by good food and desert.
Beautiful Spaces
Littleton’s is located at 2140 Tremont Center in Upper Arlington. It is steps away from the Original Goodie Shop. If you haven’t already visited, it’s time to plan your visit. If you’ve visited, maybe it’s time to return. Afterall, everyone loves beautiful spaces that open, inviting and welcoming.
